The Secret Tip To Having A Less
Crepey Neck
And Chest
By ANJANA RAJBHANDARY
While we give our face all the TLC it needs, most of us forget our neck and chest, which are prone to crepey skin — skin that is thin and looks finely wrinkled like crepe paper. The most common cause of crepey skin is sun damage, but you can care for the skin on your décolletage with a few helpful tips.
You should moisturize and protect your neck and chest just like your face. Products containing CoQ10 can strengthen your skin barrier, and glycerin or hyaluronic acid-based products help attract and hold on to moisture in these areas to keep them hydrated to appear fuller.
A few lifestyle changes can go a long way toward improving the look of crepey skin. For example, try to look at your phone or laptop at eye level instead of looking downward, try to sleep on your back, and apply skincare products, including sunscreen, with an upward motion.
In addition to skincare products and lifestyle choices, dermatologists can help treat and reduce the appearance of crepey skin on your neck and chest. Popular treatments are fractional laser treatment, chemical peels, micro-needling, and ultherapy. Beware: these treatments can be costly.
