The Ladies Of Bridgerton And Their Real-Life Partners

The hit Netflix series "Bridgerton" is three seasons in at the time of writing, and all of them have been filled with steamy romances, drama among the characters, and tons of fabulous fashion. By now, fans are emotionally invested in the cast, and while they love to watch them woo their on-screen partners, it's natural to be curious about who they're tied to in real life.

Season 1 star Phoebe Dynevor caused many hearts to flutter with her character's romance with Simon Basset, played by the hunky Regé-Jean Page. They made the perfect couple despite having a rocky start, and fans would have loved to see them continue their relationship off-camera. Alas, Page was tied to Emily Brown at the time, but Dynevor had no problem finding a love of her own, as she is now happily engaged to fellow actor Cameron Fuller, who's known for projects like "The Last Ship." If Lady Whistledown were a real person, she would have undoubtedly revealed all the hot gossip surrounding the "Bridgerton" stars' love lives, but since she's a fictional character, we've done the work and uncovered who the female stars are booed up with.

Adjoa Andoh and her husband had a sweet meet-cute

"Bridgerton" wouldn't be complete without the fabulously cunning Lady Agatha Danbury, played by Adjoa Andoh. In the series, the aristocrat is a widow, but in real life, Andoh is happily married husband Howard Cunnell. Back in 1994, Cunnell assumed a bookstore in London right below Andoh's theater company, per The Guardian. The actor recalled, "One of our directors came in one day to say someone was taking over the bookstore downstairs, and that he was tasty. We went in and there was Howard. He was this very smiley man behind the till in a patch of sunshine." As for Cunnell, he was already head over heels for Andoh, sharing, "There was a lovely staircase that went up to the offices. I'd seen Adjoa come down those stairs and I lost my head." The couple went on to have two children together, and they got married in 2001.

Andoh shared the secret to her decades-long marriage to Cunnell with Hello! Magazine in February 2024, saying, "My husband is endlessly curious ... He's incredibly smart. He's very thoughtful. We both love football. We love sport." Additionally, Andoh revealed that she and her husband share adoration for music and the arts, adding, "We don't get bored. We don't bore each other. And we don't get bored individually. And so we kind of suit each other." We don't think Lady Danbury could have made a better match herself.

Phoebe Dynevor is engaged to fellow actor Cameron Fuller

Phoebe Dynevor, who portrays Daphne Bridgerton, first sparked rumors that she was seeing actor Cameron Fuller in April 2023, when they were spotted strolling around London holding hands (via the Daily Mail). The two attempted to be incognito with baseball caps, sunglasses, and casual leisure-wear, but in September of that year, Dynevor low-key launched their relationship on Instagram by posting a series of pictures that feature Fuller. "Some summer adventures on film — round 2," she captioned the post.

Dynevor and Fuller made their first red-carpet appearance together at the 2024 BAFTAs, and a few months later, the "Bridgerton" star sported an engagement ring to the Met Gala. Dynevor has been mainly quiet about her relationship with Fuller, but in December 2024, she opened up to People about a fun road trip they took in California. "A major highlight was watching the sunset with a cocktail at Miramar Beach Bar and seeing a pod of dolphins swim very close to the shore. We wanted to relax as much as possible, so we spent some time on the beach," she told the outlet.

The two lovebirds appear to be taking things slowly now, with Dynevor's sister, Hattie, telling the Daily Mail in February 2025 that Fuller surprised her with a proposal in England in front of her family. She gushed, "Their engagement was such a lovely weekend. She's not even thought about [the wedding] yet. She's not even started thinking about anything yet." Personally, we would love to see Dynevor rock the royally fun Regency-core fashion trend with a set of "Bridgerton" nails, the Regency-inspired take on coquette manicures.

Claudia Jessie met her boyfriend while auditioning for Bridgerton

Claudia Jessie's "Bridgerton" character, Eloise Bridgerton, may be against settling down in a relationship, but the British actor is quite happy to be in one in real life. In late 2022, Jessie was seen out and about in London with "Bridgerton" casting director Cole Edwards, and while Jessie is pretty tight-lipped about her relationship with Edwards, she confirmed their dating status in a 2024 interview with The Guardian. While recalling imitating an aristocratic accent for her audition for the show, she cheekily added, "I got a job and a fella on the same day."

Auditioning for "Bridgerton" must have been nerve-wracking for Jessie, but she told Glamour that Edwards made the process so much easier. "It was so much fun, and I felt really comfortable," she shared. Jessie obviously nailed her audition, and she soon got offered the part of the second-eldest daughter, revealing, "It was very similar for Nicola [Coughlan] as well. I think me and Nicola were the first few people cast." It's clear that Edwards is very good at his job, as we can't picture anyone else playing the ever-feisty Eloise.

Golda Rosheuvel privately married her longtime partner in 2023

"Bridgerton" star Golda Rosheuvel looks totally different in real life, and she's nothing like the formidable Queen Charlotte, who she portrays on the show. Rather, she's a gentler person who is in love with her wife, playwright Shireen Mula. Rosheuvel revealed to The Guardian in March 202 that the two met at a mutual friend's party around 2013 and have been together since. Sadly, Rosheuvel explained on the podcast "Just for Variety with Marc Malkin" that, early in her career, was advised by a lesbian director to keep her sexuality a secret. "We were talking about being out and proud and representation and whether I should say I was gay in interviews and it was an absolute no. 'You absolutely shouldn't do that. It could or it would ruin your career as an actor,'" she recalled.

Rosheuvel obviously didn't heed the director's advice and is open about being a part of the LGBTQ+ community. Then, in May 2024, a source told the Mirror that Rosheuvel and Mula quietly got married in a private ceremony in December the year prior. The insider added, "It was the complete opposite of a Bridgerton-style wedding — there were no extravagant displays or hundreds of guests. The wedding itself was incredibly low key. But it felt right for the two of them and their friends and family are so happy for them both." The wedding may not have had the fanfare that Queen Charlotte prefers, but it sounds absolutely perfect for Rosheuvel and her wife.

Polly Walker is married to a former British actor

Polly Walker is no stranger to being in the spotlight, having starred in HBO's "Rome" and the film "Clash of the Titans." Now, in "Bridgerton," she plays the aloof, social-climbing Portia Featherington who simply wants to marry her daughters off to well-respected families. The finicky matriarch is a widow who had no love for her former husband, but in real life, Walker has been married to former actor Laurence Penry-Jones, known for the show "Doctors," since 2008.

Laurence comes from a well-known British family, and his brother is the famed actor Rupert Penry-Jones, who has films like "Persuasion" and "Match Point" under his belt. Moreover, their late mom, Angela Thorne, who passed away in 2023, was known for "To the Manor Born" and "The BFG." Nowadays, though, Walker's husband is an ambulance driver.

Walker and Laurence live in London, where they enjoy each other's company, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. "Luckily we had great weather and I spent a lot of time in the garden, and had quality time with my husband and daughter. We went on a lot of walks with our two dogs," Walker told The Sunday Post in February 2021. We love how drama-free and laid-back Walker is, especially because it's a far cry from her "Bridgerton" character.
