What Laura Ingraham Looks Like Makeup-Free

Fox News is known for its conservative angle, which may not be everyone's cup of tea, but the pundits at Fox also split opinions with their on-air styling. Across channels, some news anchors can't erase their makeup mistakes from the public memory, but Fox has an especially notorious reputation for heavy-handed cosmetics. "At Fox, they look very painted," an anonymous CNN makeup artist told The Atlantic, while other sources called the channel's well-coiffed aesthetic "pageant queen" and "glamor nighttime."

Call it what you like, but it seems that major Fox News personalities like Laura Ingraham, who hosts her own show called "The Ingraham Angle," curate a particular professional look: sleek, polished, and flawlessly (if heavily) made up. This constant striving toward perfectionist beauty standards begs the question: What do hosts like Ingraham look like behind the scenes and makeup-free? In Ingraham's case, the answer isn't too big of a departure — even without cosmetics, the politico is more than pretty enough to hold her own.

Laura Ingraham naturally gravitates toward a fresh-faced look

Despite rocking heavy makeup on the air, Laura Ingraham wouldn't classify herself as a glamazon. "In normal life, I wear pretty minimal makeup," Ingraham told the Daily Mail in 2024. "I think I buy most of my makeup at the pharmacy. ... I have some nice foundations and stuff like that, but I tend to keep it really clean and polished."

This seems to hold true in clean-faced shots shared on Ingraham's social media accounts. "Beautiful fall day in Nantucket," she captioned one October 2023 selfie, enjoying a little no-makeup time in the great outdoors. Another Instagram photo, taken at the Army-Navy football game in December 2024, shows Ingraham looking chilly but cheerful with a puffer coat and a clean face.

In both photos, Ingraham glows without cosmetics. Why, then, has she seemingly bought into Fox's idea of hyper-glam reporting? "For me, less is more. ... But you have to wear makeup on TV or you look pretty bad," Ingraham explained to the Daily Mail. That said, makeup isn't the only piece of the puzzle. As Ingraham readily admits, maintaining her preferred look into her 60s requires a lot of work.

Laura Ingraham's wellness routine could be keeping her skin supple and smooth

Looking and feeling good isn't just about what you put on your face, which Laura Ingraham knows well. That's why her lifestyle focuses on exercise and hydration. Ingraham works out at the trendy fitness spot Orangetheory, often taking circuit training classes, as she told the Daily Mail. Evidence online also hints at other active hobbies. For instance, one Instagram post shows a makeup-free Ingraham posing at a small-arms gun range in Maryland, while another clean-faced post at a physical therapy appointment hints at her interest in skiing. "I'll be back... on the slopes," she wrote in the caption.

Still speaking to the Daily Mail, Ingraham revealed, 'I'm not a great sleeper. ... But for me, exercise is the absolute key." She added, "I drink water every chance I get, and then I have zero alcohol during the week. ... I'm one of those people who thinks it's fun to have a margarita every now and then but that's it." Ingraham might be onto something: When you stop drinking alcohol, your skin can react in several positive ways. At the very least, Ingraham's efforts toward clean living have to help, but are they really the secret to her ageless beauty?

Laura Ingraham's looks have sparked speculation about plastic surgery

For aging celebrities, being attractive is a double-edged sword: You want to take care of yourself and look your best, but the older you get, the more your good looks will attract surgery rumors. This has been the case for Laura Ingraham, who's recently faced online accusations of facelifts and other procedures. As one user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, in 2024, "Whenever I see Laura Ingraham ... I can't help but focus on the amount of Botox and fillers around her mouth area[,] so much that she can't even close her mouth anymore." Another X user seemed outright disappointed, writing, "Laura Ingraham did not need to get Botox. She would look fine without it."

On this, plastic surgery expert Dr. Joel Kopelman told Nicki Swift in January 2025, "Recent photos suggest a smoother, more youthful appearance. ... These changes could indicate a facelift." To be fair to Ingraham, the surgeon acknowledged that plastic surgery wasn't the only potential cause behind her facial changes. "Sometimes, what seems surgical in nature may simply reflect personal habits or age-related shifts," he said, adding that even seemingly easier procedures like chemical peels could account for Ingraham's perceived glow-up.

Whether you think she's looking naturally fabulous or a little too perfect, all the speculation from netizens does point toward one conclusion: Ingraham's features radiate beauty, even when she's not wearing makeup. And she's not the only past or present Fox News anchor who cleans up well — former colleague Megyn Kelly looks stunning makeup-free, too.
