Hallmark Channel Leading Ladies And Their Real-Life Partners
For anyone who wants to escape into the world of love and feel-good movies, the Hallmark Channel is the way to go. Filled with touching shows that center around family like "When Calls the Heart" and Valentine's Day-themed films such as "A Very Venice Romance," there's something for everyone. Of course, it doesn't hurt that the actors are all easy on the eyes, why is why love sometimes blooms on the network's sets. After all, while many celebrities have embraced being single, you're not likely to find that at Hallmark. Some folks fall in love on these sets, and others have been in long-term relationships prior to working at Hallmark — and while they're good at faking love while filming, their hearts are really with their real-life partners.
The leading ladies of Hallmark are no strangers to being romanced, and some of them are newly engaged, while others have been married for quite some time. Whether they're googly-eyed over a fellow actor or with a partner that's more behind the scenes, these Hallmark Channel stars show that love is possible just like the characters they portray.
Holly Robinson Peete has been married to her husband since the '90s
Holly Robinson Peete has had a decades-long career since rising to fame in the hit show "21 Jump Street," and her marriage to Rodney Peete has fared well over the years, too. The two met in 1993 through Holly's friend, and she told The New York Times of the then-football player in a 2018 interview, "We went to a nightclub in L.A. He was super cute and he was nice, but I wasn't impressed with the whole athlete thing, or the groupies or distance." Rodney eventually won over the "Holiday Heritage" star, and the two got married in 1995.
After Rodney stunned Holly with a surprise proposal while she was starring in "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," she gave him a moment to remember as well on their wedding day. "I got his entire beloved USC marching band to show up for us. It was an impossible feat to pull off, because there are so many of them," Holly revealed to People. She added, "They played the USC fight song up and down the aisle, and I think Rodney and his Trojan groomsmen all got teary-eyed!"
Holly and Rodney have been going strong since then, and they share their four kids: R.J., Ryan, Robbie, and Roman. Like Holly, the Robinson family is full of television stars, starring in Hallmark Channel's reality show "Meet the Peetes" for two seasons. Holly and Rodney now co-host the Peacock dating show "Queens Court." Overall, these two are a perfect example of how to support your partner as they chase their dreams.
Alison Sweeney and her husband met as kids
Many fans may know Alison Sweeney as the troubled Samantha Brady of "Days of Our Lives," but she has since switched to playing more charming characters on the Hallmark Channel. Her real life is just as wholesome, and she revealed in a 2019 interview with Access that she has known her husband, Dave Sanov, since they were kids. "His dad and my mom play the violin for feature-film soundtracks, so we've actually known each other our whole lives," Sweeney shared. The "Open by Christmas" star added, "I totally had a crush on him when we were kids." Their ages got in the way of a romance back then — they're still not one of the celebrity relationships with bigger age gaps than you realized, though, as they're only a few years apart — but Sweeney ultimately made her move in her early 20s.
Sweeney and Sanov tied the knot in 2000 and welcomed their son Benjamin in 2005 and their daughter Megan in 2009. The happily married couple are still going strong and celebrated their 24th anniversary in July 2024. Sweeney commemorated the moment by posting a picture on Instagram of herself in a pretty, white-and-blue floral dress with her arm around her husband. A fan commented, "Happy Anniversary you two marriage is a lot of work but you proved it's worth it! Congratulations on 24 years here's to 24 more!"
Jodie Sweetin is married to an addiction specialist
After three failed marriages, it looks like the fourth time's the charm for Jodie Sweetin. The "Entertaining Christmas" star married her husband, Mescal Wasilewski, in July 2022 with her "Full House" castmates in attendance. "I know I have the right partner for the rest of whatever life brings me. And I couldn't be more grateful," she told People. The two were set up through friends in 2017, and they haven't looked back since. "Mescal makes me feel absolutely comfortable and secure to shine as bright as I need to," Sweetin gushed of her new husband.
Wasilewski is a licensed therapist who specializes in addiction and mental health. When he's not helping his patients, Wasilewski enjoys traveling with Sweetin. For example, the two went on an amazing trip to Italy in October 2024. "Colosseum with the wife ... Insert trite quote about a love that stands the test of time," he shared on Instagram. It's clear he's madly in love with Sweetin, as he often shares posts of them enjoying life together. In January 2025, he gave her a shoutout with pics of the happy couple and the caption, "Happy birthday babe! Here's to another year of love and adventures. Enjoy your day babe!!!"
Janel Parrish fell in love with her husband at Dave and Busters
Janel Parrish is another Hallmark star who's married to someone who's not in the entertainment business. She and chemical engineer Chris Long tied the knot in September 2018 in her native land of Hawai'i surrounded by family and Parrish's industry friends. The happy bride shared a picture of herself smooching Long on her wedding day on Instagram, writing, "Rehearsal dinner photo. But today...I married him. loving my husband so much."
Long proposed to Parrish the year prior in Toronto, with the "Holly & Ivy" star announcing in an October 2017 Instagram post, "Went to the park for a stroll with Klee and came back with a fiancé. I get to marry my best friend and I'm over the moon. I love you [Chris]." Parrish's engagement ring was fully on display in the photo, and she showed off a gorgeous, princess-cut diamond solitaire ring with a simple platinum band. In 2019, the "Pretty Little Liars" actor revealed that her meet-cute was right out of a Hallmark movie. "3 years ago today, I fell in love with you at Dave and Buster's. Lucky me," she gushed.
Hunter King is engaged to a filmmaker
If the name Hunter King sounds familiar, it's because she's an Emmy Award-winning actor for her portrayal of Summer Newman in "The Young and the Restless." However, these days, she's done causing drama in Genoa City and is making heartfelt movies with her various on-screen romances on the Hallmark Channel instead. In real life, though, the "Two Scoops of Italy" star is gearing up to marry her fiancé, Chris Copier. In October 2024, King shared an Instagram video of her romantic beach proposal that had her so excited she jumped up and down and then knelt down to give Copier a big kiss. "Best day of my life @chriscope88 I can't wait to marry your ass," she captioned the video.
King later opened up about how she and Copier met on "Today with Jenna & Friends," gushing, "He was my first AD and I was like, 'Oh, he's cute.' I had to talk to him." It looks like her fiancé is rising the ranks of Hollywood, as he's no longer just an assistant director. In December 2024, King shared a screenshot of an announcement of her latest role in "Rabisu" and wrote, "Written and Directed by my incredibly talented (& handsome) fiancé. I'm so proud of him and can't wait for everyone to see Rabisu!" Looks like a Hollywood power couple in the making, if you ask us.
