Inappropriate Outfits Marjorie Taylor Greene Was Caught Wearing

Marjorie Taylor Greene is known for her super-conservative viewpoints, and her wardrobe usually reflects that. The United States representative for the 14th district of Georgia loves a good power blazer, and her dresses aren't typically as inappropriate as fellow conservative spokesperson Kimberly Guilfoyle's outfits. In fact, it seems like Greene is a stickler for business attire, as she got highly offended when Chuck Schumer slackened the Senate's dress code to a more casual one in 2023, which allowed folks like Pennsylvania senator John Fetterman to show up in gym clothes. "The Senate no longer enforcing a dress code for Senators to appease Fetterman is disgraceful. Dress code is one of society's standards that set etiquette and respect for our institutions. Stop lowering the bar!" Greene posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, at the time.

Many slammed Greene's pearl-clutching moment, but just a few days later, the Senate overturned the lowered dress code, so it was back to business attire for the politicians. Greene was undoubtedly happy about the rule being reverted, but she isn't always dressed appropriately herself — and MTG has gone left with her fashion taste many times.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's outfit on the green wasn't proper golfing attire

Despite being someone who's all for fashion rules, Marjorie Taylor Greene has broken a few herself — for instance, when she joined Donald Trump on the golf course in a black tank top and tights. Typically, the proper attire when on the links consists of collared shirts, golf pants, or sporty skirts. Instead, Greene's 'fit included a striped shirt that appeared more business casual, which looked out of place with her capri leggings. At least her "Trump" baseball hat was appropriate for golf, although many might not have appreciated its political message.

Marjorie Taylor Greene tried to send a message with her white coat

Taylor Swift isn't the only influential person to drop big hints with their outfits. In February 2023, Marjorie Taylor Greene wore a white coat with a hooded collar during President Joe Biden's State of the Union speech in an attempt to look like the Chinese spy balloon that made its way to the U.S. "Biden refused to mention [the coat], just like he refused to stop the intelligence-gathering operation that traversed the United States," Nick Dyer, Greene's communications director, shared with The Guardian at the time. Although Greene tried to make a statement, many compared her to Cruella de Vil, and her 'fit ultimately fell flat.

This Marjorie Taylor Greene dress screamed Little House on the Prairie

In July 2024, Marjorie Taylor Greene showed up to one of President Donald Trump's campaign events dressed like she was going to a picnic rather than a political rally. The Georgia politician had on a white, cotton dress with floral embroidery and short, puffy sleeves, making her look like she was ready to frolic in a field. It was a far cry from Greene's normal officewear, and one fan even called it a "picnic blanket dress" in a comment on her Instagram post from that day.

Marjorie Taylor Greene had two major fashion fails at a State of the Union speech

Marjorie Taylor Greene failed again when she tried to send two messages with her 'fit at Joe Biden's March 2024 State of the Union speech. This time, she had on a MAGA hat that went against Congress' rule that forbids attendees to wear gear that promotes a party's campaign. Greene refused to take the hat off despite being told she'd have to remove it or leave. Additionally, the politician had on a "Say Her Name" T-shirt in protest of the February 2024 murder of University of Georgia student Laken Riley, which was deemed insensitive due to the phrase being coined during the Black Lives Matter movement and it now being used for something entirely different.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's disco-ball dress was too loud

Marjorie Taylor Greene is highly outspoken when it comes to politics, and her dress at the Turning Point Convention in June 2024 was just as loud. Instead of nailing business-casual dressing, Greene chose to wear a sparkly, sequined silver dress that looked better suited for New Year's Eve. With the keyhole detailing at the chest and slouchy sleeves, the mom of three, unfortunately, resembled a disco ball and looked painfully conspicuous standing next to a much-more-appropriately attired Steve Bannon.

Marjorie Taylor Greene's cocktail dress was the wrong choice for a political event

Marjorie Taylor Greene often wears red, but her choice of a crimson, strappy cocktail dress at the 2024 Republican National Convention was just off. With her curled blond hair and the large floral appliqué at her chest, she looked more like a wedding guest than a speaker at a political event. Perhaps Greene was feeling nostalgic and attempted to recreate her senior prom look, but the Y2K era called and wants its dress back.
