Red Flags In Kylie Jenner And Timothée Chalamet's Relationship, According To Our Love Coach

Not many celebrity couples manage to keep us in a chokehold for as long as reality star Kylie Jenner and actor Timothée Chalamet have. The "Kardashians" and "Dune" stars reportedly met in January 2023 at Paris Fashion Week, and later that year, the dating speculation began. "They run in the same circle of friends, and have a great time when they're together," a source told Us Weekly in August 2023.

While we've gotten a picture or short clip of them here and there since then — who could forget the couple's 2025 Golden Globes appearance, which made waves when Demi Moore seemed to ignore Jenner? — neither Jenner nor Chalamet has really said anything about their relationship publicly. With such a private relationship, we were excited to ask our expert for their take on the couple's red flags, and as always, celebrity love coach and body language expert Nicole Moore didn't disappoint. From why their extreme privacy could backfire to how fans could impact them, here's what Moore shared exclusively with Glam about Jenner and Chalamet's relationship.

While Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet have been dating since 2023, the two haven't given us many public appearances. "While Kylie and Timothée may simply have a desire to keep their relationship more private and that's why they're rarely seen together, it could also be a red flag that they aren't more public with their relationship," Nicole Moore shares exclusively with Glam. After all, we've seen how both stars behave in other relationships, whether we're talking about Jenner's red-carpet appearances with her ex, Travis Scott, or Chalamet's infamous make-out session on a yacht. However, Jenner and Chalamet have so far only given us a couple of brief appearances together, making us wonder why they're being so private.

Moore also points out that Jenner used to flaunt her relationships online, which she hasn't done with Chalamet yet. "In the past, Kylie has posted pictures with her significant other on social media often," Moore explains, adding that it could be either that she isn't as serious about her current relationship or, alternatively, that Chalamet doesn't want her to post anything about him. Of course, setting social media boundaries in your relationship is important, but so is understanding each other's usual approach to showing love. "For instance, on Valentine's Day [2024], Kylie didn't post anything about Timothée, and one has to wonder if she would have preferred to go all out and share a heartfelt post like she's done for past boyfriends," Moore added. "If Kylie is changing her social media habits simply to appease Timothée, that's a red flag."

We've seen Kylie Jenner go through numerous fashion phases, but one thing they all included prior to her current relationship was lots of makeup and super-sultry fashion. "Kylie's made huge changes to her looks since she started dating Timothée, and this could be a red flag," Nicole Moore explains exclusively to Glam. In fact, we've even covered Kylie Jenner's style transformation since she began dating Timothée Chalamet. "When Kylie was dating Travis Scott, she favored super-revealing clothing and she appeared to have a less natural look with super-plump lips and lots of makeup," Moore adds. In a 2024 interview with The New York Times, Jenner was even asked about the theory that her style changed because of Chalamet, to which she replied, "I don't know how I feel about that. I just don't want to talk about personal things."

The change in Jenner's aesthetic was obvious to anyone who's followed the star's career. "When she started dating Timothée, she all of a sudden started to show up with more natural-looking makeup, and she also appears to have lost a significant amount of weight," Moore adds. "It's possible that Kylie is changing her looks according to what she thinks Timothée prefers, and if that's so, it's a huge red flag that points to potential self-worth issues." The expert adds that if the reality star and makeup mogul feels the need to change to appeal more to her partner, their relationship might not be as strong as it should be.

Since celebrity relationships are in the spotlight, they naturally come with lots of unwanted opinions. And when news broke that Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were dating, plenty of people had opinions. In particular, Chalamet's fans couldn't believe the "Wonka" actor was dating a reality diva. Some even went as far as to speculate that the entire relationship was fake and that Kylie's mother, Kris Jenner, was paying the actor for the PR relationship. "When the news came out that Timothée was dating Kylie, many of his super fans were not happy that he was dating her," Nicole Moore explains exclusively to us. "Fans who criticize his choice of partner are concerned that the two don't have enough in common, and this could be a red flag."

Now, while the opinions of fans shouldn't really matter for either of the stars, being constantly exposed to negative feedback could cause damage to their love. "The fact that many of his fans don't support their partnership could put a strain on their partnership," Moore adds, explaining that "[i]t can be hard for celebrity couples to completely ignore outside noise and criticism about their relationship, so it's possible that Kylie may have felt insecure about Timothée's fans being unhappy he's dating her." And as much as the two might be used to the bad comments because they're both public figures, it's difficult to believe that the backlash from Chalamet's fans hasn't affected Kylie.

A common red flag in celebrity couples is their incredibly busy schedules, which are, of course, rarely in sync. "Kylie and Timothée both have incredibly busy schedules, which often prevent them from spending time together," Nicole Moore shares exclusively with Glam. "Since the couple is rarely photographed together, it's hard to get a sense of how much quality time this couple actually has, but it's likely that their busy schedules sometimes put a strain on their relationship."

Spending quality time together is essential in relationships, and the lack of it is a red flag that could lead to a breakup. "When couples have conflicting work schedules or lack quality time, it can create emotional distance and feelings of not fully getting what one needs in the relationship," our expert adds. But, of course, as both Jenner and Chalamet are so private about their relationship, it's difficult to assess just how much time they actually spend together, and a source revealed to Entertainment Tonight in 2023 that the couple tries really hard to make the relationship work. "Even though Kylie has so many of her own commitments, she is very proud of Timothée and wants to be there for him and support him," the insider said, adding, "Timothée is equally supportive of Kylie and admires her strong work ethic and how committed she is as a mom."
