Why People Are Talking About Erin Andrews' Monochromatic Game-Day Outfit

Admittedly, we don't report on football at Glam, but football-related fashion is a whole different story. On January 12, the Philadelphia Eagles played against the Green Bay Packers, but the game was the least of our concerns. The outfit that Fox Sports commentator Erin Andrews wore while reporting from the sidelines was all we could think about — and many others, too, apparently.

Andrews showed up to the game in a brown ski jumpsuit, completely oblivious to the fact that she was about to create a meme-worthy fashion moment. Yes, as expected, the internet went wild, from those who adored the look to those who couldn't stop poking fun at it. Luckily, Andrews wasn't offended by any of it and even tagged the ski suit's brand, Cordova, in an Instagram post the following day. While we don't hate Erin Andrews' look by any means — it's a totally fashionable choice for drinking cocktails on a mountain — we have to give it to the internet: Wearing a ski suit while reporting from the sidelines of a football game is an odd choice, no matter how cold it is. And we did our research: It was around 39 degrees Fahrenheit in Philadelphia on Sunday, January 12, so a warm coat would have sufficed. Nevertheless, we do have to thank Andrews for going with the unexpected choice, as it resulted in folks having a good laugh. "Somebody let Ralphie Parker know that Erin Andrews stole his brother's brown snowsuit," a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote, referring to a character from "A Christmas Story." Others were adamant that the commentator looked like she was delivering packages for FedEx.

Between comparing her 'fit to cosplaying a football to saying it looks like the Oompa-Loompas' uniforms from "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory," the internet was having a moment with the television personality. And yes, comparing the suit's color to "the poop emoji" was also a common observation. As much as the humorous social media commentary made this a viral fashion moment, we have to acknowledge that plenty adored the look, too. "Obsessed with your snow outfit!" one Instagram user commented on Andrews' post from Monday, January 13. "Is Erin Andrews wearing a ski outfit that looks both so comfy and stylish," another person asked on X. And the answer is absolutely yes — so thank you, Andrews, for showing us all that ski fashion doesn't have to be boring. The Cordova ski suit isn't the first Erin-Andrews-on-the-sidelines fashion moment to go viral. In fact, on November 17, 2024, the internet was obsessed with the A.L.C. leather sherpa jacket she wore while reporting from the Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears game. "Ummm... can we talk about the jacket?!" one user commented on her Instagram post from the night. After all, shearling leather jackets are the trendy coat you don't want to ignore during the winter, and Andrews showed everyone how to wear them perfectly.

And then there was the infamous two-piece rain suit the commentator had to wear over her outfit during the November 3, 2024, game between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions due to pouring rain. "You looked amazing in that dreadful weather," one follower wrote under a video vlog of the day that Andrews shared on Instagram. 

All of this is to say that this Fox Sports reporter is no stranger to having her fashion dissected by social media. So, we applaud her for keeping her outfits interesting, as the world of football needs more fashion magic.
