Plastic Surgeon Tells Us How Kimberly Guilfoyle's Face Has Transformed Over The Years
Kimberly Guilfoyle has had quite the transformation since being linked to now-Governor of California Gavin Newsom in the early 2000s, and many folks probably wouldn't be able to recognize her before-and-after pictures. There's been much speculation about how much she's altered her face, and now, board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Dennis Schimpf of Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery & Spa in Charleston, South Carolina, has exclusively shared his expert opinions with Glam. When looking at pictures of Guilfoyle from over the years, he took note of her face, stating, "She had very good bone structure starting with full lips and almond-shaped eyes, which are all very naturally appearing. Given these characteristics, it's easy to see why she worked as a model." However, he added that as people age, their bone structure and facial volume tend to decrease, and coupled with increasing wrinkles, many turn to plastic surgery.
When it comes to Guilfoyle, Dr. Schimpf said, "I think initially she started out with Botox to her forehead, crow's feet around her eyes, and glabella area, as well good skin care. I believe over time she has continued to add to this, using fillers in an effort to improve bone structure and maintain the youthful, desired inverted-triangle appearance from her mid-face to her chin." The plastic surgeon thinks that, unfortunately, Guilfoyle eventually overdid it and injected more into her face on top of her previous fillers, known as the "filler creep effect." That's not all — according to Dr. Schimpf's eagle eyes, the former prosecutor may have gone under the knife as well, which explains her drastic new look.
Plastic surgeon thinks Kimberly Guilfoyle has had a facelift
There's no doubt that Kimberly Guilfoyle, who's known for her inappropriate outfits, looks drastically different from her modeling days, and plastic surgeon Dr. Dennis Schimpf believes part of that is due to invasive surgery. "It appears she has most likely had a neck and lower or possibly complete facelift in an effort to maintain her tight jawline, neck and address howling that occurs with natural aging," he exclusively told us. Noting her altered features, he added, "It also appears she had some form of surgical adjustments to her nose as well as her eyelids."
If Guilfoyle is thinking about doing more work to her face, Dr. Schimpf's expert advice is to lay off any more plastic surgery. "If anything, I would recommend dissolving some of the filler that she has in her lips and face to give her a more natural appearance," he stated. The surgeon pointed out that his observations may be skewed due to Guilfoyle's heavy makeup and possible Photoshopping of her pictures, but overall, Dr. Schimpf believes that despite all the procedures, the 55-year-old looks "youthful" for her age.
