Monica From Yellowstone Is Gorgeous In Real Life

Monica Dutton is one of the central characters of "Yellowstone" and has been part of the series' major storylines since its first season. Played by Kelsey Asbille, the wife of Kayce Dutton is no-nonsense and often the voice of reason in her large family. Monica's aesthetics reflect her personality, and she keeps her hair and makeup minimal, which isn't surprising given that she lives on a ranch. With the show set in Montana, its cast members are made to appear fairly natural, and Monica's wardrobe often gives a nod to her Native American heritage.

In real life, Asbille is much more glam and plays up her beauty for red-carpet appearances. She has a strong sartorial sense as well, telling Who What Wear in 2020, "Ferragamo was my first introduction to the fashion world at 18. My first fashion show. The pieces I have from that time will be in my closet forever, or until I can pass them down to my children. Their designs are timeless." 

Now that "Yellowstone" has put her on the map as an A-list celeb, Asbille is no stranger to attending industry events, and like her co-star Jen Landon, who plays Teeter, her many appearances prove she's just as gorgeous in real life.

As an actor, Kelsey Asbille has transformed herself into her characters time and time again, and it appears she has fun trying different looks for photoshoots and events in the real world, too. For instance, in March 2022, the star rolled up to the annual Vanity Fair Oscar Party with long, straight hair and a stunning black gown featuring plenty of glitz. But later that year, the "Teen Wolf" star showed off an effortlessly chic French bob at the "Yellowstone" Season 5 premiere. Asbille sported matte orange-red lips and a subtle smokey eye, but even more eye-catching was her daring, black sheer dress that featured a deep V-cut at the chest. Her look undoubtedly earned the approval of her fans, with one commenting, "The short hair is so chic."

Asbille has since kept her locks cropped, but in October 2024, she rocked the curtain bangs trend with her short hair. This time, she wore a gauzy, robin's egg-blue dress with a turtleneck and long sleeves for the Academy Museum Gala, which is put on each year by the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. As for her makeup, the "Don't Move" actor opted for natural eyes with the focus on her heavily blushed cheeks and overdrawn taupe lips. Ultimately, with all of her different beauty looks, Asbille is totally unrecognizable as Monica Dutton from "Yellowstone."
