The Worst-Dressed Celebs At The 2024 People's Choice Country Awards

The People's Choice Country Awards isn't just any awards show. What sets this particular one apart from other country-genre awards shows is that the winners were entirely chosen by fans. Sadly, the voting closed a month before the September 26 event, so it's too late to pick your favorite cowboy-boot-wearing stars. The upside is that you're definitely not too late to see which ones made our worst-dressed list.

As singers and songwriters made their way into the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, they strutted their stuff on the red carpet, and we got to be the judge and jury of their 'fits. This year, Shania Twain, who nearly had a fashion faux pas at the 2023 CMT Music Awards, hosted, and we never know what look we're going to get from her. Other divas like Miranda Lambert and Kelsea Ballerini also showed up in their fineries. So, let's all scream, "Yee-haw!" and round up the worst 'fits of the night.

Dasha's LBD wasn't award-show-worthy

While there wasn't anything offensively wrong with Dasha's buckled little black dress, it wasn't enough to wow us, especially for an awards show. The material looked like a basic cotton-polyester mix, and the belt-buckle embellishments looked too outdated for 2024. The dress would have blended in seamlessly 20 years ago with all the other Wet Seal outfits on the carpet, but we expect much more from celebs these days.

Pillbox Pattie was way too padded

Nicolette Hayford, AKA Pillbox Pattie, described the process of creating her first album as "chaotic," but that could be described of her 'fit for the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards. The singer-songwriter decided to go business casual but with a twist — a blazer with feather embellishments on her wrists. To add to the confusing look were giant '80s shoulder pads that would have Melanie Griffiths' character in "Working Girl" green with envy. With her stacked chain necklaces and Vegas-like pantsuit, we didn't know if Pillbox Pattie was auditioning for "Mob Wives" or hanging at a country-music awards show.

Shania Twain's Canadian tuxedo dress wasn't host-worthy

We hate to put Shania Twain on the worst-dressed list as the host of the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards, but we just can't look past her denim red-carpet look. Sure, the "Still The One I Want" singer is from Canada, but that doesn't mean she has to show up to an event wearing the nation's version of a tuxedo. With the large-collared halter top over a mermaid skirt worn with matching arm warmers, Twain's first look was definitely a "Don't!"

Lana Scott's florals withered

Lana Scott may have gotten a standing ovation from all four coaches while on "The Voice," but we're not turning our chairs for her 2024 People's Choice County Awards 'fit. The floral print was not only dizzying but the black knee-high boots were also way too casual for an awards show. Oh, and the heart-shaped purse that dangled from her hands was reminiscent of a purchase from a Sanrio store. This isn't the blind auditions anymore, Scott. It's time to step up your look.

MacKenzie Porter celebrated Halloween a bit too early

Halloween may be coming up, but MacKenzie Porter was a month too early for the festivities. We get that ladies (and men) love a good French maid costume, but the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards is not the time and place. Most celebs wear denim and cowboy boots, but the "Misfit Paradise" singer opted to look like a character from the movie "Clue." If anyone asks, it was Porter on the blue carpet with a fashion faux pas.

Keltie Colleen Knight's Christmas-tree dress wasn't so lit

While some folks at the People's Choice Country Awards were underdressed, it's safe to say that Keltie Colleen Knight was not. In fact, she went the other way and over-bedazzled in her bright green dress covered in floral appliqués. With the dizzying amount of sparkles, the former dancer didn't need any accessories, but unfortunately, her pose in front of the NBC logo made her look like she was wearing a peacock crown. Someone needs to change the spot markers on the blue carpet.

Priscilla Block's bodysuit is a sheer miss

See-through clothing has been in as of late, but there are certain styling mistakes to avoid when trying to nail the sheer trend — one being skintight silhouettes. Unfortunately, Priscilla Block didn't get that memo, and her nude bodysuit would have looked much more on point if the shape was more loose and flowing. Her wide belt didn't do much to add to her 'fit, and, in fact, the dangly rope hanging from the middle of her stomach created a weird line down her middle. We're not even going to address her Snooki hairdo because that's for another time and place.

Hannah Dasher's hair was high but her outfit was low

Country star Hannah Dasher is known for her Dolly Parton-like Texas hair, but all we could see upon her arrival at the People's Choice Country Awards was her oh-so-wrong 'fit. Whether it was her blue-and-white Western shirt tied at the waist or bootleg jeans, Dasher was more dressed for dinner at Long John Silvers rather than an event at the Grand Ole Opry House. At least her sparkly gold shoes were fit for the blue carpet.

Lowell and Nate Ferraro took country casual too far

While the People's Choice Country Awards isn't as dressy as the Grammys, we think Lowell and Nate Ferraro could have tried a bit harder. The two rolled up looking like they just threw on whatever was hanging over their bedpost and called an Uber to the event. Not even the ruffles on Lowell's jeans dressed up her 'fit enough for the blue carpet, and her denim-patchwork hat just added insult to injury. And a black tank top? We can't even.

Kylie Morgan got her shows mixed up

Was Kylie Morgan on her way to an audition for "Dancing with the Stars"? It sure seemed like it with her bedazzled red off-the-shoulder gown featuring a thigh-high split while posing on the blue carpet at the People's Choice Country Awards. Instead of crooning "I Only Date Cowboys," Morgan looked ready to dance the samba. The only thing missing was her partner — someone assign her a pro, stat.
