Madonna's Kids All Have Their Own Unique Sense Of Style

In the world of entertainment, not many have managed to have a lasting impact. In fact, decades from now, plenty of the celebs we gush about today will probably be long forgotten. But in the sea of famous people, some have managed to leave a mark on the world that will last even when they're gone. And one of those stars is undoubtedly pop icon Madonna.

We could go on and on about her music, style, personality, and the impact she's had on people across the globe, but today, we're solely focusing on her children. Madonna has four daughters and two sons (Lourdes Leon, Rocco Ritchie, David Banda, Chifundo Mercy James, and twins Stella and Estere Ciccone), and we couldn't help but notice how stylish all of them are. After all, growing up with a fashion icon that has set numerous trends over the years has to have an effect on how you approach fashion.

Lourdes Leon is all about daring and bold fashion

Madonna's eldest child is Lourdes Leon, the biological daughter she shares with actor Carlos Leon. Born in 1996, Lourdes is the epitome of a trendy zillennial. And with her mother being one of the biggest pop stars in history, nobody is surprised. For Interview, Lourdes revealed in 2021 that she loves borrowing from her mom's closet. "I do, but now there's a lock on her closets," she admitted. "When she's not in the house, those things are locked tight, because I take everything I feel that I'm entitled to."

Ever since her first appearances on red carpets alongside her mother, it was clear that Lourdes was going to have a very bold and unique style. Throughout her teens, her admiration for fashion grew, and today, she is known for rocking daring and often very revealing looks but always ensuring the outfit is edgy and unconventional. As a dancer, musician, and model, Lordes' approach to fashion is just as unapologetic and fearless as her mother's. And in 2021, she was even invited to the fashion event of the year — the Met Gala — where she didn't disappoint in a Moschino by Jeremy Scott creation. Lourdes is also no stranger to walking runways, as she's done shows for Versace, Luis De Javier, and Marine Serre.

Rocco Ritchie loves channeling a retro style

Madonna had her second child, Rocco Ritchie, with movie director and screenwriter Guy Ritchie in 2000. Today, he's in his 20s, and his style is all about finding inspiration from previous decades. In particular, Madonna's eldest son is all about the aesthetic of the 1930s and 1940s, and his fashion choices certainly emphasize that. From his suits to his shirts, shoes, and sunglasses, most of the pieces we get to see Rocco wear give off a vintage vibe — even though they may not be old per se. Rocco is clearly very much into fashion, just like his sister Lourdes. In 2023, the two attended Paris Fashion Week together, and they definitely looked like they belonged at the event.

Rocco, who is a painter, admitted to Vogue Hong Kong that clothing plays a major role in his expression. "I've always tried to present myself to be more than just an artist, to be bold and make a statement, even when I'm not painting," he revealed in 2022. "It's what brought me to wearing a suit, which is usually considered to be a mundane item of dress, but to know what goes on behind making it is where the art lies. It took a tailoring apprenticeship for me to find that out and I've got to tell you, I have a tremendous amount of respect for those who design and create clothes."

David Banda looks incredible in anything colorful and funky

In 2008, Madonna and Guy Ritchie adopted David Banda, who was born in Malawi in 2005. To no one's surprise, David also grew into a stylish man, and in 2024, he even made his New York Fashion Week debut when he walked for Off-White.

His fashion debut isn't surprising, as David has adored dressing up in nice clothing for a long time. "He can put on any outfit and look swag as you know what," Madonna revealed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2022. "It's really irritating. He wears my clothes and looks better in them. He can even wear a dress and look butch." While David can, according to his mother, pull off anything, the model is most frequently seen in eye-catching and brightly colored pieces that certainly take plenty of confidence to wear. Pulling off a spicy summery red from head to toe? No problem for David!

Chifundo Mercy James prefers a more simple and casual look

Madonna adopted Chifundo Mercy James — born in 2006 in Malawi — as a single mother in 2009. Like all of her children, Mercy also decided to nourish her creative side by embracing art, and she's even performed on stage alongside her famous mother.

In an Instagram post from his January, Madonna revealed that while all of her "other children were clamoring for attention," Mercy was "hiding under [her] hoodie — never wanting to draw attention" to herself. And her shy and private personality is something that is reflected in Mercy's style. While her older siblings are enjoying fun and bold fashion pieces, Mercy seems to prefer comfortable and casual clothing. However, that doesn't mean her look is boring — in fact, Mercy seems to be a pro at elevating a basic hoodie and jeans with layered necklaces and accessories like sunglasses and bags.

Estere and Stella Ciccone are already showcasing their unique styles

In 2017, Madonna adopted twins Stella and Estere Ciccone, born in Malawi in 2012. Today, the tweens are already showcasing a strong sense of fashion, as they adore dressing up when attending events with their mother. Most recently, the two were at the "Deadpool & Wolverine" premiere this July, and their looks didn't disappoint. The two opted for casual and comfortable ensembles, but they still made sure to make their looks fun with accessories.

Of course, Madonna's youngest daughters are still finding their style, but we have no doubt that the two will conquer the world of fashion in the future. With their mother being a global pop icon and their siblings well-known fashionistas, how could they not?
