Nail Artist Tells Us Fall 2024's Trendiest Pedicure Colors

This fall is all about classic seasonal colors on your toes — from the shades that you encounter on a crisp forest walk to the dark, almost-black tones that give your look an edgy and mysterious vibe. To find out the specific shades that are expected to trend, we turned to Los Angeles nail artist Mycah Dior. "Each of these colors reflects the natural palette of autumn, resonating with the warm, earthy tones of the season," she told us in an exclusive interview. "These shades also complement a wide range of fall fashion trends, from cozy sweaters to leather jackets, making them easy to pair with different outfits. These timeless colors will always be in style!"

Dior revealed that the trending shades this spooky season will include the usual autumn suspects (some of which we saw in the 2023 fall pedicure trends), but also some surprising additions: deep burgundy, forest green, deep brown, burnt orange, and dusty rose. Of course, while you can rock any color you prefer at any given time of the year, these specific shades are bound to make you feel like bingeing "Gilmore Girls" and grabbing a cup of hot cocoa — which is, if you ask us, what fall is really about!

Red is a classic nail polish color that works year-round, but its moody fall version is definitely burgundy, and Mycah Dior has confirmed in an exclusive interview with Glam that this color will be on trend this fall. If you want the drama and attention that red can bring, but you don't want it to be so vibrant, opt for a darker shade that almost borders brown. Thanks to the fact that it's darker than a classic red, this tone adds instant fall vibes to your look!

A shade that is the quintessential fall-time nail polish color is forest green. Now, while forest green can have quite a few interpretations, we're thinking about a hue that channels the forest colors in "Twilight" — another classic fall-time watch. Depending on your skin undertone, you can opt for a cool or warm variant, but Mycah Dior tells us exclusively that this color must be "forest" or dark green to hit the trend. 

While any shade of brown is a great choice for fall, it is a deep brown in particular that Mycah Dior recommends to us exclusively. The great thing about a really dark brown is that it allows you to achieve the same effect as if you were rocking black; however, it's less harsh and punk-like. Not that there is anything wrong with the Vivienne Westwood punk-rock aesthetic — but staying those few shades lighter than black will ensure you remain trendy this fall. 

If none of these darker shades appeal to you, a great option for fall is a burnt-orange pedicure, which Mycah Dior exclusively confirms will be trending. Think of the color as orange, but slightly more muted, a tad darker, and less vibrant than your usual summer orange. The shade can be found everywhere in fall — whether you look at falling leaves or carved pumpkins.

For the girlies who prefer a more neutral nail color for their toes, Mycah Dior exclusively recommends dusty rose. The color — which is a muted pink and can be lighter or darker depending on personal preference — tends to look very natural on any skin color and works with virtually any outfit.
