Brittany Mahomes & Taylor Swift's Best Twinning Style Moments

If one celebrity friendship has come to define the 2020s, it's that of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes. The superstar and former soccer star are linked by their partners — Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce and Mahomes' husband Patrick Mahomes — who play together for the Kansas City Chiefs. And while most significant others of pro athletes probably get to know the families of their partner's teammates, it seems like Swift and Mahomes have a special bond (despite some potential red flags that fans have noted). 

Not only have the two been pictured together on cute double dates, but they've also been seen cheering beside one another on game day and enjoying girls nights out. Though both women have kept mum about their friendship, onlookers get the idea that they support each other outside of their mutual football interests; Mahomes was spotted attending Swift's Eras Tour in Amsterdam in July 2024, while Swift appears to have welcomed Mahomes into her long-established friendship group of it-girls that includes the likes of Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez. But our favorite thing about this star-studded friendship is the sporadic twinning fashion moments. Whether they're rocking exactly the same custom football gear or are simply co-ordinating colors and accessories, we live for the matching styles of two power women. 

Many of the twinning looks that Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes display tend to be on the subtler side, whether they're wearing matching jewelry or the same dress at different times. But some of their matching style moments are much more in-your-face. There was no denying their friendship in mid-January of 2024, when Mahomes posted a photo to Instagram of the two stars in matching Kansas City Chiefs coats. They rocked the co-ordinated look, aptly captioned "twinning & winning" by Mahomes, as the Chiefs took on the Miami Dolphins. While Swift's coat paid tribute to Travis Kelce with his name and jersey number, Mahomes' coat did the same with husband Patrick.

Donning this cohesive look didn't just highlight the bond between these two friends; it also showed their support for another WAG. The jackets were designed by Kristin Juszczyk, another NFL wife who now has her own fashion line. Juszczyk is now known for her custom sports and game wear, but was first launched into the global spotlight when Swift and Mahomes showed off their twinning jackets.

Though Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' most famous synchronized style moments often come down to their matching sportswear, they've also been known to link up other looks, whether on purpose or by accident. On September 30, 2023, the friends were spotted watching on as the Kansas City Chiefs took on the New York Jets. 

Clearly, the mid-fall weather meant that there was no need for the heavier jackets they would be seen wearing the following January, but they did match up some light leather outerwear. While Swift wore her leather jacket tied around her waist, showing off a simple black top and light-denim jeans beneath, Mahomes kept her leather jacket on, with just a glimpse of her red-and-black 'fit coming through. Short moto-style leather jackets had fallen out of favor by fall 2023, but these two stars stayed on trend by opting for longer outerwear.

One of the more famous twinning moments we've seen from Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes came at the end of January 2024. To celebrate the Kansas City Chiefs' win over the Baltimore Ravens, Mahomes posted a pic of the two WAGs sharing a triumphant hug in AFC Champion caps. The important win sent the Chiefs off to Super Bowl 58, where they eventually won against the San Francisco 49ers, so the celebratory hugs and smiles were definitely warranted!

In the photo carousel that Mahomes shared on Instagram, she and Swift could also be seen clutching the expectant belly of fellow Chiefs WAG Lyndsay Bell in a show of support for their wider KCC family. While Swift and Mahomes didn't match up their outfits for this decisive game, they did both stick to the Chiefs signature palette of white, red, and gold, while Bell opted for an all-white look with a splash of red.

Of course, Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes' friendship has blossomed to the point where they have more in common than just football, and their catch-ups take place beyond the stadium suites. In January 2024, when things were progressing swimmingly for the Kansas City Chiefs, Swift and Mahomes were spotted enjoying a night out in New York City. Though details of the night remain scarce, we do know they went to the celeb hotspot Nobu, and wore matching sheer tights and heeled boots for the occasion. 

Sheer socks were having a moment over winter 2023, so we're not surprised that these stylish stars went for the see-through look with their hosiery. Though chunky boots were outdated by 2024, Swift still managed to pull off a grungy pair of platformed black ankle boots, while Mahomes opted for a sleeker stiletto heel and pointed toe. Other than Mahomes' white handbag, both women kept the rest of their outfits muted and toned down for the New York winter.

It's not exactly rare to spot Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes donning red somewhere in their ensembles when watching the Kansas City Chiefs — the color is integral to the team palette, after all. But sometimes they manage to align their crimson touches superbly, as was the case when the Chiefs took on the Green Bay Packers in December 2024. Mahomes opted for a heavy black-and-red bomber, and when Swift's red coat fell down to expose her simple back turtleneck, they shared a red-sleeve twinning moment ordained by the football gods. Swift topped off the look with a bold red lip and red short nails, while both women complemented their in-sync 'fits with frosty silver jewelry.

What makes this twinning moment even more special is that the red fleece coat worn by Swift here may have actually belonged to Mahomes herself. Eagle-eyed Swifties have theorized that the "Cruel Summer" singer borrowed the statement outerwear from her fellow WAG, who debuted it back in 2022. Whether or not the coat actually belonged to Mahomes or not, it's clear that these two friends have twinning tastes.
