The 2024 Paris Olympics' Worst-Dressed Stars
Plenty of the rich and famous have flooded to the 2024 Olympics in Paris, France, whether to watch the most talented athletes make history or to attend some of the fancy invite-only accompanying events — like the Louis Vuitton Olympic Games prelude party. Of course, regardless of what they attend, celebrities always show up styled head to toe in designer clothes. However, not everything we've seen so far has been a fashion hit.
In fact, stars like Chrissy Teigen and Charlize Theron have worn questionable pieces, which is why they ended up on this list. Of course, we're by no means saying that these looks are awful, but if you're going to attend an event like the Olympic Games, we certainly expect you to bring your A+ fashion game. And these celebs are somewhere in the realm of a C-, which is unacceptable given that the events are taking place in one of the fashion capitals of the world.
Elizabeth Banks' LBD was a basic choice — and we can't get behind the blue fabric
Hollywood star Elizabeth Banks attended the 2024 Prelude to the Olympics in a little black minidress with a satin bust — a choice that would have been safe and foolproof were it not for the added blue fabric flower oddly positioned at the hemline. The blue fabric was floor-length, and even though we understand that it was supposed to add a fun element to the look, the execution wasn't great.
Nina Dobrev's opening ceremony look seemed a bit too costumey
Actor Nina Dobrev attended the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympic Games with her partner, former professional snowboarder and skateboarder Shaun White, and for the occasion, she decided to give us patriotic fashion. Now, while there's nothing wrong with that, we do have to admit that the outfit she chose seemed a bit like a costume, especially with the matching white sunglasses and loafers.
Chrissy Teigen attended the Olympics without pants
Here at Glam, we love a good no-pants look, but unfortunately, model Chrissy Teigen's interpretation of it for the Olympic opening ceremony just doesn't cut it. A pantless moment needs the right occasion, and attending a sports event with her husband, John Legend, and their children just doesn't seem like the right one. However, if she had rocked the look on a different occasion, this would have been a major slay.
Sophia Bush's dress was way too much for a sports event
Actor Sophia Bush definitely knows how to dress up; however, the puffy minidress she decided to go with for the pre-Olympics event distracted from the actor's beauty. In fact, the dress not only made it difficult to look at anything else but its puffiness also undoubtedly made walking and hugging people annoying.
Charlize Theron's white shoulder train was a choice that didn't pay off
In our eyes, Hollywood star Charlize Theron doesn't really make bad fashion choices, but the white minidress with the long train coming from one shoulder was definitely a peculiar look. Frankly, we're not sure whether anything could fix this outfit, as the train would have looked just as odd had the dress been floor-length.
With a few changes, Ashlyn Harris could have been on a best-dressed list
Soccer player Ashlyn Harris attended the Olympics pre-party alongside her girlfriend, Sophia Bush, so it's only fitting that she also ended up on this list. In theory, we adore the copper pantsuit combo, but in reality, the look could have been better executed. For starters, there's such a thing as too oversized — even when going for an androgynous or masculine vibe — and we wish Harris' top was a tad more tailored. Matching the outfit with a different hairstyle would have also been better, as her voluminous, pulled-back look was a bit too retro in combination with the suit.
Tyla's bralette was a tad too tiny for the Olympics
For the Olympics prelude event, "Water" singer Tyla decided to keep things casual with oversized parachute pants and a tiny bralette. Of course, this would have been an incredible look had the bralette not been so small that her under-boob was showing. Now, before you come for us — we're all about showing as much skin as you'd like — but the contrast between the poofy pants and the ultra-tiny top was just too in-your-face.
Rosalía's sheer dress was too dramatic for an event like the Olympics
While it's clear that the celebs who attend the Olympics (and any event tied to it) are often trying to make a fashion statement, not every outfit seems like an appropriate choice. Musician Rosalía attended the Prelude to the Olympics in a crochet see-through maxi dress that certainly couldn't leave indifferent. While some loved it, we unfortunately think it was poorly tailored, as there seemed to be too much fabric around the star's bust that was especially visible whenever she moved her arms.
