Red Flags For Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly's Relationship From Our Matchmaker
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship has been full of passion — and mess. The two first met in 2020 on the set of the film "Midnight in the Switchgrass" and things between them soon heated up. In a July 2020 episode of the "Give Them Lala" podcast, Fox shared, "I knew right away that he was what I call a twin flame. Instead of a soul mate, a twin flame is actually where a soul has ascended into a high enough level that it can be split into two different bodies at the same time. So we're actually two halves of the same soul, I think," the "Transformers" star stated. The couple got engaged in 2022 but a year later, Fox hinted at a bitter breakup in a now-deleted Instagram post when she posted the lyrics of "Pray You Catch Me" from Beyoncé's album "Lemonade" (via TMZ): "You can taste the dishonesty / It's all over your breath." While bad-mouthing your ex is good for your mental health to a point, shading them on social media is a whole other level.
Fox and Kelly's alleged breakup was short-lived and they've reportedly been trying to work things out. However, Susan Trombetti, matchmaker and CEO of Exclusive Matchmaking sees lots of red flags in the on-again-off-again couple's relationship. And while it remains to be seen if they'll last this time, Trombetti exclusively shared her expert insight with Glam on what Fox and Kelly's biggest issues appear to be.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship is unstable
Although Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have not given up on their relationship yet, there are many accounts of things still being shaky between them. Matchmaker Susan Trombetti exclusively told Glam, "When it comes to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship, there are more ups and downs than a roller coaster. They started out hot and heavy, and now there are rumors of a breakup. There have been rumors about them for a while." Trombetti continued, "This relationship seems very toxic and is not a good example of relationship goals. It was so publicly hot and heavy, and her droplets of blood that he wears around his neck seem reminiscent of Angelina [Jolie] and Billy Bob Thornton; we all know how that turned out."
Trombetti also pointed out that Fox has yet to confirm her relationship status with Kelly but the star has also revealed that she will always be linked to him. In March 2024, the "Jennifer's Body" actor stated on the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, "What I can say is, that is what I refer to as being my 'twin soul,' and there will always be a tether to him no matter what." She went on to say that she'd remain connected to him, but wouldn't explain further. Trombetti shared, "This leaves room for people to speculate that she will always be in love with him even if they aren't together romantically."
Megan Fox repeats the same unhealthy relationship habits
When it comes to Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship, dating expert Susan Trombetti thinks it's full of toxic behavior. "They just can't seem to make it work or 'quit each other.' Anytime you have a strong push-pull feeling, people think of it as passion, but as a matchmaker, I will tell you, it's generally childhood patterns and you are just repeating them in your romantic life," she exclusively told Glam. Trombetti gave Fox's ex-husband Brian Austin Green as an example. "They called it quits and went back together. She has patterns," the matchmaker noted.
Fox's relationship with Green indeed has similarities with Kelly's. She and the "Beverly Hills, 90210" star also met on set and she was attracted to him right away. "Everyone was around the monitor watching a scene, and Brian accidentally touched my leg. I remember literal electricity shooting through me and out me from every direction. It was like magic," she recalled to The New York Times in 2009. The two got engaged in 2006 but called off the wedding three years later only to reinstate their engagement again in 2010. After 10 years of marriage, during which Fox filed for divorce and then requested a dismissal, she and Green split for the final time in 2020.
Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's engagement is at a standstill
Since their engagement in January 2022, it appears Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly have halted their wedding plans, which relationship pro Susan Trombetti sees as a sign it may be time to end their relationship. "There is no forward movement on the engagement. It appears they are trying to work on things through therapy and taking it one day at a time," she exclusively told us. A source had told People back in May 2023 that despite going to counseling, Fox and Kelly have yet to move forward with their nuptials. "They don't have a wedding date. Megan still seems hesitant. She has just put so much time into their relationship. It's hard for her to let go," the insider shared.
In Trombetti's skilled opinion, Fox and Kelly are doing the right thing by not getting married when there are clearly big issues standing between them. "That said, being unable to move forward should tell them this relationship might not be the right relationship for them," she said.
Cheating rumors continue to hang over Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly's relationship
As mentioned previously, Megan Fox fueled infidelity rumors when she shared the lyrics from Beyoncé's song "Pray You Catch Me," which is about a woman who knows her partner is cheating on her and is waiting for the other shoe to drop. "Rumors of cheating led to trust issues after the Feb 2023 Superbowl. No one knows for sure if someone cheated, but why post lyrics from Beyoncé's cheating 'Lemonade' song and then delete your account?" matchmaker Susan Trombetti exclusively pointed out to Glam. "You can't expect to be so public and then have privacy without your fans going into overdrive," she reasoned.
After hinting that she had been scorned by Machine Gun Kelly and then deleting her account, Fox made a brief return to Instagram to tell her fans (via Elle), "There has been no third party interference in this relationship of any kind. That includes but is not limited to ... actual humans, DMs, AI bots, or succubus demons." The "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" actor continued, "While I do hate to rob you of running random baseless news stories that would have been much more accurately written by ChatGPT, you need to let this story die and leave all of these innocent people alone now." The post has since been deleted.
Megan Fox was petty for following Eminem
In the world of social media, it's easy to track drama by seeing which celebs are following and unfollowing each other. When Megan Fox seemingly accused Machine Gun Kelly of cheating on her, she unfollowed him and then pared down her follow list to three celebs, which included the "Bloody Valentine" singer's foe, Eminem. Relationship expert Susan Trombetti slammed the move and exclusively told Glam, "It's childish, vindictive, and immature as well as public. This shows she isn't ready for a relationship."
The two rappers' beef dates back to 2012 when Kelly called Eminem's daughter "hot." After dealing with the fallout over his inappropriate comment, Kelly and Eminem went back and forth with diss tracks aimed at each other. Since Eminem's last song "Unaccommodating," which states that he won the battle, all has been quiet on Kelly's end. Trombetti told Glam, "[Fox] isn't 20 and should know better than to try to hurt her boyfriend and humiliate him during a fight. It starts drama with the fans and probably irritates him which was the intent, but just not the way to communicate your issues to your partner. This is just acting out on her part." It looks like Fox needs some lessons on what not to do post-breakup for a healthy separation.
