What girl doesn’t feel pretty in pink? Spring has sprung, and now’s the perfect time to pack away those wintery red lipsticks and pull out every shade of pink you possibly can find. While many may balk at the idea of pink lipstick, a few boldfaced names are pioneering this girlish “pink power” revolution. Below are five stars who have recently embraced this easy-to-wear look in their own way. Whether worn matte or shiny, light or dark, pink lips are on track to being the next lip look du jour.

1. Tickled pink. Breakout British chanteuse Leona Lewis has certainly been sticking to one beauty theme: pink, pink, pink. Posing for a photo op in London, Lewis’s matte bubblegum-pink lips match her cheeks. Doesn’t she look just like a doll baby? Like this lively look? Don’t forget to line your lips with a similar shade; it’ll help keep the color longer and make it much more matte.

2. Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker picks a prim, understated lip look while at a banquet in Las Vegas. Her gorgeous glossy ballet-slipper-pink lips appear almost nude! To get her smoldering ice-princess look, remember to choose a pink lip gloss that’s not too far away from your natural lipcolor—and intensify your eyes.

3. La Vie en Rose. Beautiful Beyoncé blossoms with an ultraflattering pale rose-color pout at the 2007 Movies Rock event. This subtly vibrant hue looks amazing against her caramel-color skin, played up only by bronzy cheeks and flirty lashes. To try this look, pick a darker pink lipstick that has a hint of gold—it’ll sparkle without giving a full-on shine effect.

4. British babe Cheryl Tweedy-Cole (one-fifth of Girls Aloud) rocks out with a punchy pink lip at the 2008 Brit Awards ceremony. When worn correctly, this hue looks totally fun and is trés easy for all complexions to wear. Simply remember that fuchsia lips must be completely matte, opaque, and paired with a fresh face and lush lashes.

5. Glazed Over. Rapper-actress Eve played up her dark doe eyes with a high-shine blush-pink lip gloss at the 2007 Movies Rock event. One thing to remember: Since gloss tends to easily bleed off lips, blot concealer over your entire mouth before applying —it’ll help keep your lip gloss in its rightful place.
