The Dancing With The Stars Winner Whose Red-Carpet Outfits Are As Iconic As A Mirrorball Trophy

Xochitl Gomez is a rising star, having been the youngest actor to play a Marvel superhero when she stepped into the role of America Chavez in 2022's "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" and the second-youngest contestant to win "Dancing with the Stars." These days, Gomez pops up on countless red carpets, and she simply slays them with her style. Gomez, who was also named Adidas' newest ambassador, loves to kick back in comfy 'fits but doesn't mind getting full-on glammed up for special events — and she puts a lot of consideration into her aesthetic.

"For my red carpet looks, I always try to come up with a theme, especially from watching the film. I'd like to say my personal everyday style is very punky-sporty," the 18-year-old fashion darling told Teen Vogue, adding, "I don't try to pin myself to one thing because everybody's everything. If one day I want to be the sportiest girl ever and just pull up in a tracksuit, that's what I'll do, but the next day I'll be at the Oscars in a full ball gown."

Thanks to the countless events Gomez has attended, we've seen her experiment with lots of different styles. Some are fresh and flirty, while others are boldly dramatic. We're sure designers are clamoring to dress the star, as her fierce fashion game is proving that she's one to look out for. Here are our favorite red-carpet looks donned by her.

Xochitl Gomez looked adorable in tweed

Xochitl Gomez certainly took the purple theme of this month's "Inside Out 2" premiere to heart by showing up in a lilac tweed dress with large, square crystal buttons in the front. She perfectly matched the purple carpet and backdrop while staying true to the kid-friendly movie with her schoolgirl uniform look, which was huge at the end of last year and might be making a resurgence if this look is anything to go by. Gomez styled the dress with a sheer, white button-up shirt and matching socks. A pair of preppy lug-sole loafers completed her sweet 'fit.

Xochitl Gomez's dramatic black gown

Xochitl Gomez supported fellow Marvel actor Dakota Johnson at the premiere of "Madame Web" in February and didn't disappoint with her glamorous gown. She stayed on-trend with a long hi-low gown that had dramatic ruffles cascading down her legs. The "Babysitters Club" actor accessorized the look with long, sheer black gloves that looked utterly elegant as she posed in front of cameras.

Xochitl Gomez's sexy cutout dress

Xochitl Gomez's futuristic, avant-garde dress was more than fitting for Netflix's "Atlas" premiere this May. Her black, floor-length dress had daring cutout detailing at the waist and a thigh-high slit for each leg. No necklace was needed for the Mirrorball Trophy winner, but a necktie-inspired leather strap around her neck gave the dress an interesting twist. Just like the film's plot, Gomez's look was out of this world.

Xochitl Gomez is the queen of cutout dresses

Cutout dresses were everywhere in 2023, and Xochitl Gomez rocked the trend with a fuchsia frock from designer LaQuan Smith for last December's "Wonka" premiere. The dress featured a dramatic slit on one thigh and a structured bolero, which was a huge outerwear trend for winter 2023-2024. Gomez must either have a super-talented stylist, or she's simply just on top of her fashion A-game.

Xochitl Gomez embodied Dancing with the Stars at the People's Choice Awards

When you're up for an award, you have to dress the part, which is what Xochitl Gomez did at the 2024 People's Choice Awards. The "Dancing with the Stars" alum was nominated for Competition Contestant of the Year and showed up in a glorious black-and-white gown with large, ruffled shoulders featuring pink flowers, putting her very much on-trend. Gomez looked like she was ready to dance the night away, and while she ultimately lost her category to Ariana Madix — who was also nominated for "Dancing with the Stars" — she definitely won the red carpet with this look.

Xochitl Gomez channeled old Hollywood at the 2024 Oscars

Although Xochitl Gomez attended the 2024 Academy Awards as a guest, not a nominee, she totally manifested a future win with her flowy, merlot-colored gown. The dress featured criss-cross detailing on the bodice and a long cape that flowed over her back. As for her hair, she looked like a movie star straight out of old Hollywood with large curls that framed her face. There was no chance she was going to make it onto our list of the worst-dressed celebs at this year's Oscars, but you should still read that article to see who's been struggling with fashion this year.

Xochitl Gomez proves she can wear any color

Some celebrities have acquired a signature look and color — take Jennifer Aniston and simple LBDs, for example. However, Xochitl Gomez isn't afraid to play around with different styles, which she proved at the 2024 Gold Gala, a celebratory gathering of influential Asian and Pacific Islander celebrities, in May. The "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness" actor looked bright and bubbly in an emerald strapless dress with flouncy ruffles around the hem. She chose to go matchy-matchy this time with satin heels in a slightly darker shade. We're sure Gomez's attire made onlookers green with envy.
